Topic: SWP appears (...or not) in Safari and Chrome

Hi,

I have create a SWP gallery; it works whithout problem with FF IE Safari and Chrome....well: http://emmasculpteur.free.fr/atelier/im … pture.html

I use overlay( jquery tools) to show this gallery from my workshop page http://emmasculpteur.free.fr/atelier/atelier.htm
It works with FF and IE but SWP doesn't appear in Safari and Chrome ....

Just a question..... WHY  :mad:

It could be that the jquery overlay does not like WebKit (the Safari/Chrome rendering engine)?

other pages with overlay but whiyhout showing SWP work fine....
try http://emmasculpteur.free.fr/atelier/em … ntact.html and click on "mail"...

no problem neither with safari or chrome.... :/

Yes, but there could still be issues with jquery and swfobject not playing nice together.

What appears to be happening is that in a webkit browser one or all of the gallery.xml, viewer.swf and swfobject.js files are not being read by the browser, but only when the gallery is called by the jquery overlay. You could try giving absolute paths to the files in the gallery HTML and for the imagePath="" and thumbPath="" in the gallery.xml then see what happens. But I'm not sure that's going to make any difference. If you feel confident with jquery you could try using the jquery swfobject plugin http://jquery.thewikies.com/swfobject/
