There's been a few posts but could find an answer.

Is it possible to cusomise the captions, if so what options do I have.

I am using simpleviewer.

you can found cptions in gallery.xml.... all the options are described in simpleviwer faq

The only options I can see are to change the colour. I'd like to change the size and position.

I think that you have to buy the full version of simpleviewer
