Topic: Multiple Gallery compatibility

Hi all,
Is there any way to get the Multiple Gallery compatible with internet explorer?

I am on a Mac and several clients have said that the page is just blank. I have tested it with firefox 3.5 and the new safari and have no problems, I have also tested it for my self on windows in IE and indeed it is blank.

Any ideas? Thanks for any help.

PS I'm using SV Pro v1.9 and the site is put together using dreamwearver CS3

Hi,

what are you referring to? The flash embed example or the HTML embed example? Do you have an URL?

Line 9 looks like it has a stray open comment block "<!--" that needs to be removed. After you make that change your can use the link below to see if it validates better.

As an aside I would ditch AC_RunActiveContent.js and use  SWFObject instead to embed the flash.

Hi miker,

Fantastic! That was it I had seen that in the code but did not know what it was, and I have know idea where it came from.

As far as the AC_RunActiveContent.js the only reason that I used that was its the only thing that made the background of the .swf file transparent. I will look into the link you supplied because if there is a better way to do that it would be nice.

If you decide to try SWFObject this is the basic HTML I use. SWFObject tends to work better across all browsers and you can make it transparnet with "params.wmode = 'transparent';".

Hi miker,

I did decide to use SWFObject and wow it is so amazingly easy to use and incredibly powerful.

Thanks so much for the heads up on  that and the validator.w3 site both of these have now become indispensable tools I will always use. :D
