Topic: Picture reorder

I am using Photoshop CS3 to create my galleries. I want to have the images in a certain order.  I have tried numbering titles to get it to show my images in order. It does not work.
What can I do to have my images in order?

The photoshop script orders the images alphabetically by file name, so if you want a specific order you either have to edit the xml that is generated by hand to change the order or rename your images, for example image1.jpg, image2.jpg, etc and generate the gallery again.

I have tried numbering at the beginning as in:
1. Untitled, 2010, Ink and gouache on paper, 22 x 30 inches

and the end:
Untitled, 2010, Ink and gouache on paper, 22 x 30 inches, 1

How would you recommend it be written?

-also, on a side note, I am using Pro. I had to clean install a while back and lost the editing software. Is there a link for that?

Example:
Untitled, 2010, Ink and gouache on paper, 22 x 30 inches

This looks more like a caption then a file name, if you want to use Photoshop and file names to organize the images, you want something short and simple. You could use a series name or just the word image and add a number to the end.

I'm guessing you are referring to svManager, you can use the link in the email that was sent to you when you purchased the pro version to download the simpleviewre.zip file which it is included in.

So I re-ordered them in the XML file and I am getting an error message:

error on line 118 at column 1831: Extra content at the end of the document

I am posting the code below. I don't see anything out of the ordinary.

It does not look you posted the full XML, it should at least have an end gallery tag. Try opening the XML in firefox it can often tell you where and what the issue is if it is a format error.

Also I would suggest not using commas or periods(with the exception of the file extension) in your file name as this could cause issues with some OS/Browsers, not to mention file length issues.
