Topic: absolute link not working

I have been looking over and over the code, and cannot figure it out. I built a website using WYSIWYG (see it at http://www.xhd.nl/portfolio.html ). I included tiltviewer code. Tiltviewer works ok from a local path, but absolute paths are not working at all. I split up the site and the pictures, because I run the website from my own webserver with little bandwidth, so I store all pictures at my provider. I use this xml:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
   <photo imageurl="images/portfolio(1).jpg">
   <photo imageurl="http://www.xs4all.nl/~kruimpie/PhotoSite/portfolio/portfolio(2).jpg">
   <photo imageurl="http://www.xs4all.nl/~kruimpie/PhotoSite/portfolio/portfolio(3).jpg">

the file "portfolio(1).jpg" is stored locally under a folder "images", and it displays ok. The other two are located @my provider, and do not show. This provider space is just webspace, no cross domain checking that I am aware of. At first I thought it might be the tilde (~) sign in the URL, but even when I add another absolute jpg link it does not work.

Any idea????

Loading images from a different domain than the SWF file can cause problems. Check for a solution here: http://www.simpleviewer.net/simpleviewe … trouble_11

Re: absolute link not working

Thanks Felix. I just managed to solve the problem! What I did, was to create an almost empty html file only showing tiltviewer at the domain where my pictures reside. Then I added an iframe on the page where I want tiltviewer to show, and point to that new page. This works! Downside for now is, that chrome/iron/safari keeps displaying a useless vertical scrollbar (IE and mozilla are fine). But I'll get round to that one for sure :)

Thanks all for your help!
