Topic: Display problems with iPhone

I am in the process of implementing galleries on a site that the client wants to view on their iPad. While testing on my iPhone, the page seems to zoom in and it is difficult to navigate. See example: http://www.designvidal.com/portfolio2/a … /index.asp

I have been able to successfully create other sites that work great on my iPhone, see http://www.lafiaarvin.com/portfolio/est … /index.asp

My only thought is that I have since downloaded the latest version?

Hi,

SimpleViewer Mobile v2.1.2 will cause the page to scale to 100% which may cause scaling issues on some sites viewed on a mobile devices. This will be fixed in v2.1.3.

OK, I have downgraded to versions 2.1.1 to get to mobile version looking better. However, I have run into my initial problem with the background. I understand that 2.1.2 has enabled transparent backgrounds, but for this site I just need one solid color. When I define the color in the XML file and html file, the color is still not being displayed properly.

This FAQ (from this page) might help with your color shift:

My gallery displays a color shift. How do I fix this?

Flash 10's color correction can cause color shifting on certain systems. If you are experiencing this, uncheck the useColorCorrection embed option in svBuilder-Pro. Check here for more details.

To make the change quickly in the existing page, change the line:

SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '720', '600', '#363e38',true);

... to:

SV.simpleviewer.load('sv-container', '720', '600', '#363e38', true, null, null, null, false);

I've added the parameters and it still has the darker background. I don't see an option for color correction in version 2.1.1.

It looks like you are using SimpleViewer v2.1.0 and the 'useColorCorrection' option was introduced in v2.1.1.

You're right, I am using version 2.1.0. Is it adding color correction by default? Since there isn't an option to uncheck "Color Correction" and I've added the parameters suggested, is there a solution to remove the dark background?

In your gallery's 'svcore/swf/' folder, you'll find two files: 'simpleviewer.swf' and 'simpleviewer_icc.swf'.
(1) Delete the file 'simpleviewer_icc.swf'.
(2) Copy the file 'simpleviewer.swf' and rename the copied version to 'simpleviewer_icc.swf'.
