Topic: generating gallery.xml from local folder?

I was just wondering about easier ways to generate the gallery.xml file, is there a program for Macs out there that can perform the same function as buildgallery.php, but locally on my laptop?
Is this even possible?

cheers, I just checked this out, unfortunately I think it only runs on 10.4 and above (I'm on 10.3.9) the app doesn't do anything when I launch it?

anyone know any alternatives compatible with 10.3.9?
