Topic: Caption hyperlinks not working in IE9

I have created an online portfolio using Simpleviewer 2.1.3. The caption hyperlinks work with no problems in Firefox and Chrome but not in IE 9. Here is one of the web pages with the problem: … active.htm

I'm not really knowledgable in HTML, I created the whole thing using an old version of Dreamweaver. I don't know what other information I should provide, other than that after reading another post at this forum I made sure pop-up windows are not disabled in IE9, which didn't change anything.

What is wrong and what should I do?

Re: Caption hyperlinks not working in IE9

The hyperlinks in your captions work in IE9 when you display only the gallery by itself by visiting
This suggests that there might be something on your … active.htm page which is interfering with the captions.
Inconsistencies between viewing a web page in different browsers can often be attributed to HTML errors on the page.
Try validating your page with the W3C Markup Validation Service and fix any errors reported.
Also, I notice that your page does not use a Doctype Declaration.
Looking at your code, the following might be the most suitable:

<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN"

It should be inserted into your 'interactive.htm' page at the very beginning of the document (above the opening <html> tag).

Thank you so much! The Doctype Declaration did the trick! Thank you!
