My galleries are operating perfectly in firefox, but in Internet Explorer they are completly different.....

Your gallery looks similar in Firefox 12.0 and IE9 on my PC.
If you are seeing a grid of thumbnails rather than the layout you specified, then please see this FAQ:
When I view my gallery I see a grid of thumbnails, not the layout I specified. Why?
