Topic: Display difference of main image options using flash or non-flash

Hello,

we are not quite sure, which Pro Configuration Options are effected by the embed parameter "useflash" set to TRUE or FALSE.

In this example ("useFlash" = TRUE)

the visible image borders of some images (e.g. the cock) are created by the main image options "frameColor" and "frameWidth".

Our impression is, that in this example ("useFlash" = FALSE)
http://www.dat-ei.de/svgalleries/Startseite/
this frame is not created.

So is this a bug, or is it in fact a display difference between flash and non-flash usage?
If the latter, which are configuration options are additionally effected?

The Mobile Player, which is used to display the gallery on mobile devices and in browsers which do not have Adobe Flash Player installed and enabled (or when the useFlash Embed Code Parameter is set to 'false'), supports fewer configuration options than the Flash Player.
Most of the SimpleViewer-Pro Config Options are available to the Flash Player only.
The configuration options supported by the Mobile Player can be found here.

Do I understand correctly: The options listed in the section "Mobile Player Options" are the ONLY options supported by the mobile player?

What about Juicebox - would changing vom SimpleViewer-Pro to Juicebox-Pro increase the customization options for use on mobile devices? If yes, is a "cross-upgrade" possible, and how much would it be?
And is it possible to migrate SimpleViewer galleries to Juicebox galleries?

Essentially, yes. There are a few other options that the Mobile Player supports (such as title and showOpenButton) but the Mobile Player does not support the majority of configuration options (such as audio, auto play, image scaling, etc.) which are available to the Flash Player only.

What about Juicebox - would changing vom SimpleViewer-Pro to Juicebox-Pro increase the customization options for use on mobile devices?

Yes. Juicebox (being an HTML 5 image viewer rather than a Flash image viewer) is much more configurable for use on mobile devices. Please see the Juicebox - Config Options page for a full list of Juicebox configuration options. Certain options are listed as Large Screen Mode options only (and, by default will not be used in Small Screen Mode) but you can force Juicebox to display your gallery in Large Screen Mode on all devices and in all browsers by setting screenMode="LARGE" if you wish.
