Topic: Flickr User


thank you for assisting me as I am not sure what to do.

The Flickr interface with my website worked fine until about a week ago and I have searched the forums to find an answer but was unable.

I get the message Flickr User Not Found.

However the username at Flickr has not been changed, nor any of the web page coding on any of the files.

The link below is a page which lists our cottages and each of the cottage pages has a gallery which are all displaying the error message. … ranges.htm

If someone could assist that would be much appreciated, thank you.

Unfortunately, Flickr have recently (~ 14 September 2016) made a change which has resulted in all Flash-based applications (not just SimpleViewer) being unable to receive data via their API.

The change that Flickr has made affects only Flash galleries so the Mobile Player within SimpleViewer (the HTML version of the gallery) is still able to display Flickr images (which is why you still see your images on your iPad).
Perhaps the best course of action at the moment would be to use the Mobile Player for all browsers and devices as noted in this forum post: … 008#p53008

Flickr might be more inclined to revert the change if they are made aware of how many users have been adversely affected.

I am sorry for the inconvenience that is causing but, as it is beyond our control, I also thank you for your understanding.
If and when we hear any more news about this issue, we will be sure to post in the SimpleViewer forum thread regarding this issue (first link above).
