Topic: Flash

Hi, I've heard that  by the end of 201g Chrome browser will start blocking Flash. I am experiencing that problem and I was wondering if there is some easier solution to deal with Flash content that has been blocked by default different than clicking on the same button every time. I find it rather annoying. I am facing that issue with my blog everytime:

Thank you for your help.

Re: Flash

Unfortunately, there is no denying that Flash is dying format.

Adobe have recently made it more difficult for users to view Flash applications locally. Please see this forum thread for details: … 003#p53003

Also, browsers are starting to bock Flash content. Please see these links for further information:
Chrome: … hrome.html
Edge: … -of-flash/
Firefox: … n-firefox/

Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to change the way that browsers treat Flash content (and, therefore, nothing that you can do to change the way that other people's browsers behave when faced with one of your Flash galleries).

SimpleViewer does feature a Mobile (HTML) Player for mobile devices and non-Flash-enabled browsers (please see the note on Universal Playback) and you can force SimpleViewer to use this to display your galleries by deselecting the 'Use Flash' checkbox in svBuilder-Pro's 'Customize -> Embed Options' section.
However, please note that SimpleViewer is predominantly a Flash image viewer and the Mobile Player was designed as a fallback mechanism rather than a fully-featured image viewer within itself. As such, the Mobile Player supports far fewer configuration options that the Flash Player.

If you are looking for a long-term solution, then I would recommend migrating from a Flash gallery to an HTML 5 gallery.

You might like to take a look at Juicebox, an HTML 5 gallery which does not use or rely on Adobe Flash Player at all. (The Juicebox-Pro feature set is comparable to that of the SimpleViewer-Pro Flash Player rather than the Mobile Player.)
It is possible to convert a SimpleViewer gallery to a Juicebox gallery by following the instructions here.

Please see this SimpleViewer blog entry for information on why we created Juicebox, the differences between SimpleViewer and Juicebox and for details of a discount off Juicebox-Pro for existing SimpleViewer-Pro users.

I hope you find this information helpful.
