Topic: All my galleries no more visible

Hi please,
I have a problem with my simple viewer plug-in on my wordpress for all the galleries, which are no more visible.
If you could visit the page and check:
http://www.hisegnoallestimenti.com/alle … and-fiere/

I have read thet there is an issue with flash, and that Chrome is blocking Flash content, and I have tryed the solution you suggest here:
https://www.simpleviewer.net/forum/view … p?id=18976
but unfortunately I did not solve.
Can I ask you to help me undertsanding the problem?

A further question if possible:
I read that Adobe have recently announced that Flash will reach its end of life in 2020, and you suggest to migrate to other plug-in, here:
https://www.simpleviewer.net/forum/view … p?id=18994
the problem is for the migration I should re-create each gallery and unfortunately I have a lot of galleries... isn't there any alternative actually?
Many thanks for helèping with it.
Best,
Lorenza

Re: All my galleries no more visible

I think the reason that your galleries are not being displayed might be due to the fact that the <script> tag loading the 'simpleviewer.js' JavaScript file has the attribute defer="defer".

The 'simpleviewer.js' JavaScript file must be loaded in the web page before the embedding code is parsed by the browser but the defer="defer" attribute prevents this from happening.

This attribute is not added by WP-SimpleViewer itself and may be added by a third-party plugin.
If you know which plugin is adding the defer="defer" attribute to the <script> tags on your web page, then try temporarily disabling the plugin (to confirm that this is the cause of the problem) and, if possible, make an exception for WP-SimpleViewer so that the defer="defer" attribute is not added to the <script> tag loading the 'simpleviewer.js' JavaScript file.

This should hopefully help to restore your galleries (although, due to Flash-related problems, the galleries might be displayed by the Mobile Player, an HTML 5 fallback).

With regard to Flash, it would be wise to change to a non-Flash product before Flash reaches its end of life in 2020 (such as WP-Juicebox whcich is HTML 5 based).
Unfortunately, there is no migration path between WP-SimpleViewer and WP-Juicebox so you'd need to recreate your galleries with WP-Juicebox.
However, if you are familiar with WP-SimpleViewer, then you should find WP-Juicebox very easy to use as their interfaces are very similar to each other.

Re: All my galleries no more visible

Hi Stephen many thank for your replay, the problem was related to a speed booster plugin and now all is solved. And, yes, I will set up the migration to a html5 gallery.
Thank-you for all your assistance.
